PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device for delivering a therapeutic agent to tissue.SOLUTION: A medical device for delivering a therapeutic agent to tissue comprises a layer overlying the outer surface of the medical device, and the layer comprises a therapeutic agent and an additive agent, and the additive agent comprises a hydrophilic portion and a drug affinity portion, and the drug affinity portion is at least the one of a hydrophobic portion, a portion having an affinity to the therapeutic agent due to hydrogen bonding, and a portion having an affinity to the therapeutic agent due to van der Waals interaction, and the additive agent is water soluble, and the additive agent is at least the one of a surfactant and a compound, and the compound either has a molecular weight of 80 to 750 or has hydroxyl groups of over 4. |
