<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control device for a structure that can suitably suppress vibration of the structure by excellently converting displacement of the structure into rotary motion of a rotary mass without being affected by reaction torque of a mass damper when the structure vibrates.SOLUTION: The vibration control device for a structure includes: a support member 2 which extends in a vertical direction and has its upper end part connected to an upper end part of a structure B and its lower end part connected to a foundation F; a mass damper 3 which is connected to the support member 2 in series, and has a rotatable rotary mass and converts displacement of the structure B transmitted through the support member 2 into rotary motion of the rotary mass when the structure B vibrates; and a twist prevention mechanism 31 which is provided in the structure B, and locks a part of the support member 2 nearby a connection part for the mass damper 3 to thereby prevent the support member 2 from being twisted.</p> |
