The purpose of the invention is to obtain a wire rope-cleaning instrument provided with a wiper assembly that is configured from roughly circular resin components, installed to be able to revolve like a collar on the circumferential surface of the wire rope and scrape out accretions on the surface of the wire rope; and with a supporting base assembly that holds the wiper assembly in a prescribed position against the movement of the wire rope and has a scraper that is near the end surface of the resin components of the wiper assembly, extends to a position closer to the wire rope than the outer circumferential surface of the resin components and scrapes accretions that accumulate on the wiper assembly to the outside of the outer circumferential surface of the resin components of the wiper assembly. |
