The present subject matter relates to a light source for photobiomodulation for use in the fields of general healthcare, medicine, beauty treatment, physiotherapy, veterinary medicine, sports medicine, dentistry and others. The device comprises an electronic apparatus with light sources using LED lamps surrounded by a transparent, flexible, moldable material that is non-toxic, such as rubber, silicone and others. The device is attached and fitted to the user's body, transmitting light directly to the area to be treated. The light sources are powered by an internal battery that can be recharged via a source connected to conventional electrical energy. The apparatus has moldable side flaps that enable it to be attached and positioned either in direct contact with the skin (or other biological tissue being treated) or remotely (without touching the area to be treated). These features make it possible to treat inflamed areas, hyperalgesic (painful) areas, burned areas, infected areas or areas affected by any other condition in which direct contact with the skin/area is not recommended. |
