CALCULATION METHOD OF MOMENT OF INERTIA, AND MOLD CLAMPING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calculation method of a moment of inertia accompanying an action of a varying part having a variable moment of inertia, and a mold clamping device capable of calculating the moment of inertia accompanying the action of the varying part.SOLUTION: A moment of inertia generated in a device 1 is calculated based on a first moment of inertia generated in a stationary part 18 having a constant moment of inertia and a second moment of inertia generated in a varying part 19 having a variable moment of inertia. The second moment of inertia varied by moving a moving object 12 is measured. The moment of inertia generated in the device 1 is calculated by summing up the first moment of inertia and the second moment of inertia.
