<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope fogging prevention system and an endoscope fogging prevention method which can determine a failure with high accuracy.SOLUTION: An endoscope fogging prevention system 100 has: a heater 110 that has a resistance temperature coefficient and heats the interior of the tip 10a of an endoscope insertion section; a temperature sensor 120 that measures information on the amount of interior heat; and a control unit 150 that controls the driving of the heater 110 on the basis of the information on the amount of heat as measured by the temperature sensor 120. The fogging prevention system 100 calculates the information on the amount of heat of the heater 110 on the basis of the resistance temperature coefficient of the heater 110, compares the information on the amount of heat of the heater 110 with the information on the amount of heat of the interior of the tip 10a, and when it is determined that a difference between the information on the amount of heat of the heater 110 and the information on the amount of heat of the interior of the tip 10a falls outside a desired range, stops the heater 110.</p> |
