This stent delivery device (10) comprises a stent (12) which is disposed between a shaft (4) and an inner sheath (18) in a self-expandable state. An expansion limiting portion (34) which is formed on a distal end portion of the inner sheath (18) limits expansion of the stent (12) such that, in a state where an outer sheath (16) is moved back and exposed to the outside, the outer diameter of the distal end of the stent (12) has a first diameter (D1) which is greater than the inner diameter (Da) of the outer sheath (16), and the stent (12) expands such that, in a state where the inner sheath (18) is moved back and exposed to the outside, the outer diameter of the distal end of the stent (12) has a second diameter (D2) which is greater than the first diameter (D1). |
