The invention relates to a displaying and operating device for a control room for the process visualization of a network having a plurality of network nodes and network lines each connecting two network nodes. The displaying and operating device has a screen for displaying at least part of the network, at least one operating apparatus that can be operated by a user for controlling the screen, and a coupling means for coupling the operating apparatus to at least one focal point on the screen. The coupled operating apparatus is designed to control the screen in such a way that a screen area associated with the coupled focal point is displayed enlarged according to a set degree of enlargement and that detailed information are displayed in the associated screen area according to set display criteria. The process visualization of the network is thereby optimized for the user. The invention further relates to a control room having such a displaying and operating device and a method for controlling a displaying and operating device for a control room.
