PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide light-emissive nitride nanoparticles, for example nanocrystals, having a photoluminescence quantum yield of at least 1%, which is much higher than that of nitride nanoparticles in prior arts, and to solve such problems that nitride nanoparticles in the prior arts have only weak emission and sizes of manufactured nanoparticles are difficult to control.SOLUTION: The nitride nanoparticles are light-emissive nanoparticles including a capping agent having an electron withdrawing functional group and a capping agent having an electron donating functional group, and have a photoluminescence quantum yield of at least 1%. The nitride nanoparticles are group III metal nitride nanoparticles. The capping agent having an electron withdrawing functional group is an amide, carboxylate, acetoacetonate, sulfonate, phosphonate, thiocarbamate or thiolate of zinc; and the capping agent having an electron donating functional group is a phosphine, phosphine oxide, carboxylic acid, carbonate, amine, sulfonate, ester, thiol or thiolate.
|
