Disclosed are a dish basket and a dish washing machine having the dish basket. The dish basket comprises a dish basket frame (1) and a cup holder assembly (4). The dish basket frame (1) comprises horizontal steel wires (11) and vertical steel wires (12). The cup holder assembly (4) comprises a first cup holder (2) and a second cup holder (3). The first cup holder (2) is rotatably connected to the horizontal steel wires (11), and the second cup holder (3) is connected to the first cup holder (2) and is capable of rotating around the first cup holder (2) between a deployed position in which it cooperates with the first cup holder (2) to carry an item of tableware and a folded position in which it is folded between the first cup holder (2) and the dish basket frame (1).
