An energy management system receives control information including the price information and energy demands, computes energy price based on the energy demands and price information, and compares the computed energy price to the pre-saved reference unit price. When the energy price is equal to or greater than the reference unit price, a power saving device including a plug-in electric vehicle measures the charging amount. When the charging amount is equal to or greater than the set value of dead battery, power charged by the power saving device is provided for consumers. When the power price is less than the reference unit price, charging of the power saving device is selectively performed according to the charging amount of the power saving device.
