PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of maintaining good Peak to Average Power Ratio (PAPR) or Cubic Metric (CM) properties when an uplink signal is transmitted using a MIMO scheme.SOLUTION: A hierarchical mapper 1401 performs mapping to hierarchies having the number corresponding to a specific rank. A DFT module 1402 diffuses each hierarchy signal. A specific precoding matrix which is set so that each hierarchy signal is mapped to one antenna and transmitted at the time of precoding of a precoder 1403 is selected. A time region signal is generated and CP (Cyclic Prefix) is added by an IFFT module 1404, and the hierarchy signal is transmitted to a base station through a multi-antenna 1405.
