PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved sensor device to be implanted in the body and a retrieval system for retrieving data from the implanted sensor device.SOLUTION: An internal sensor unit 102 comprises: a coil 102d adapted to absorb energy supplied by an external unit; and an optoelectronic circuit 102b. The optoelectronic circuit 102b includes: a first photodiode; a second photodiode; a comparator with an input terminal connected to a terminal of one of the photodiodes; a resistor connected between an output terminal of the comparator and a terminal of the coil; and a radiation source. The optoelectronic circuit 102b transfers information to the external unit 101 by generating a signal with a duty cycle representing the change in the amount of the light incident to the first photodiode with respect to the amount of the light incident to the second photodiode.
