The method involves arranging gear wheels (2, 3) with a corresponding outer geometry coaxially adjacent to each other relative to a rotational axis (4). The gear wheels are rotated relative to each other around an angle opposite to a superimposable congruent tooth position. Plastic (5) i.e. thermoplastic elastomer, is applied in a cavity, which is formed between the gear wheels, in area by area by injection molding for connecting the gear wheels. The gear wheels are adhered with each other by the plastic. An independent claim is also included for a gear wheel unit.
