The present invention relates to a calibration indicator for calibration of a vehicle-mounted camera, which has a plurality of patterns arranged thereon and, more specifically, to a calibration indicator for a vehicle-mounted camera having variable ellipse patterns, which has a plurality of variable ellipse patterns set to show the respective patterns into the form of a circle in an image in which the calibration indicator is photographed through a wide-angle lens. According to the present invention, the performance of camera calibration can be improved by detecting feature point coordinates in a distorted image more accurately. This enables accurate image matching to exactly show the periphery of the vehicle, thereby improving a driver′s visibility, and can cause a relative location of an external object to be accurately recognized, thereby improving safety during driving.
