The invention relates to an oscillating-pedal traction system for pedal-driven vehicles in which the pedal assembly axis is placed on the rear driving wheel having a rear pedal assembly (16) consisting of a stationary hollow shaft (32) and two mobile shafts (30) and (31), the independent movement of which enables almost analogue selection of the output of the traction system by means of a double gear change, guaranteeing, regardless of the length of the connecting rods, the coupling of the traction-transmission system, and obtaining the synchronised alternating movement of the connecting rods (3) via a mechanism consisting of a rocker arm (8), two knuckle joints (5) on the connecting rods (3), two knuckle joints (7) on the ends of the rocker arm (8) and two rods (6), the latter mechanism making it possible to select the upper (23) and lower (24) pedalling arcs, such as also to optimise the output by adjusting the pedalling to suit the user. |
