摘要 PURPOSE: A composite is provided to effectively lower blood fats, to enhance lipoprotein cholesterol concentration, and to prevent and treat vascular diseases and atherosclerosis. CONSTITUTION: A composite which lowers blood fats and enhances high density lipoprotein cholesterol contains monascin which is prepared by extracting from a fermented Monascus product. A method for preparing the composite comprises: a step of extracting the fermented Monascus product using acetone three times(102); a step of concentrating the extract by decompression to enhance extract concentration(103); and a step of isolating the extract by silica gel, column chromatography, silica gel, or high performance liquid chromatography and obtaining monascin and ankaflavin(104,105,106,107).
