PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, an apparatus and a method for reducing power consumption of displays.SOLUTION: A method comprises: a step of receiving image data having a plurality of color components; a step of generating a histogram for each of the plurality of color components; and a step of adjusting each of a plurality of light sources corresponding to the plurality of color components on the basis of the histogram. The method further comprises a step of adjusting each of the plurality of color components of the image data, in proportion to the step of adjusting each of the plurality of light sources.
