The invention relates to a slave cylinder with a housing which is arranged concentrically about a gear box input shaft and has an annular chamber in which a piston with a piston seal is accommodated in an axially moveable manner, which piston can be subjected to a pressure of a pressure medium and is operatively connected to a release bearing, wherein a pre-loading spring acts on the piston, and a securing means is provided for limiting the piston stroke in the direction of the release bearing, and wherein a pressure chamber which can be subjected to the pressure of the pressure medium is formed in the annular chamber in the direction of the piston seal, and the securing means is designed according to the invention in the form of means which interact with the pre-loading spring and by means of which the direction of action of the pre-loading spring on the piston can be reversed. |
