A computer-implemented method of coupling flooding simulation and evacuation simulation in a populated area, comprising inputting input geometry representing physical structures in a populated area; processing the input geometry to provide modelling geometry; creating a computational fluid dynamics CFD model suitable for CFD analysis from the modelling geometry; creating an evacuation model suitable for population evacuation analysis from the modelling geometry.
