PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intermediate transfer member capable of suppressing a reduction in releasability of toner from the surface even after a long-term use, and maintaining high secondary transfer efficiency for a long period.SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer member for electrophotography includes a surface layer having the surface carrying toner. The surface layer contains a fluorine-modified resin having an acryloyl group or a methacryloyl group and conductive inorganic particles, and has a ratio of the number of atoms of elements derived from the conductive organic particles to the total number of atoms detected by analysis of the surface in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, of 2.5 atm% or more and 10 atm% or less. In analysis of the surface of the surface layer in flight-time secondary ion mass spectrometry, a mass-to-charge ratio [m/z] is detected to have a peak at a position at which m/z is 71 or a position at which m/z is 85. |
