PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the sealing function of a side seal to normally work in a working condition even when there is warping due to a manufacturing error on a holding plate constituting the side seal of a linear guide device.SOLUTION: The side seal has one or more seals 31, 32, and the seals 31, 32 each have a lip part 34 and a hard resin holding plate 35 mounted on a slider while holding the lip part 34. The holding plate 35 has a thickness maintaining part 3a for maintaining a plate thickness, and a thinner part 3d thinner and less rigid than the thickness maintaining part 3a. The thickness maintaining part 3a is formed along an area out of the outside edge of the holding plate 35, where at least the lip part 34 does not exist. The thinner part 3d is closed at its outside by the thickness maintaining part 3a. |
