PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor camera for controlling an encoding amount by a Q-step with the use of turning information of the camera so as to allow the encoding amount to converge to a target encoding amount and also controlling resolution in accordance with the sensory characteristics of a movement object.SOLUTION: A monitor camera includes: a lens module for imaging a subject and outputting an image signal; an encoding unit for encoding the image signal output by the lens module and outputting encoding data; a transmission unit for transmitting the encoding data output by the encoding unit to the outside of the camera; a turntable for turning the whole of or a part of the camera; and a control unit for controlling encoding with respect to the encoding unit and controlling turning with respect to the turntable. The control unit sets turning information of the turntable and controls encoding in the encoding unit on the basis of the turning information. |
