[Also in Group X] A mounting for a swing door 16 comprises two door mounts 18, 24, a pivot member 32 and a pivot bearing 10 for attachment as by screws 14 to a door frame J and having an opening 12 for the pivot member, each door mount 18, 24 comprising an attaching portion 20, 26 secured, as by screws 29 to opposite sides of the door 16 and an arcuate portion 22, 27, extending beyond the door, the portions 22, 27 extending towards each other to enclose the pivot member to which they are attached as by countersunk screws 34. As shown, two pivot bearings 10 are provided at top and bottom of the door and intermediate bearings may be provided for large doors. The door and mounts are spaced from the frame J to allow free swinging, and a draught excluder 36 made of rubber or plastic extends the full height of the door. It comprises a sealing portion 38 normally contacting the frame J and extending between the arcuate mount portions 22, 27 and an arcuate tapering holding portion 40, integral with the portion 38, held between the door mounts 22, 27 and the pivot member 32. |
