<p>The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition comprising alpha-iso-cubebene extracted from Maximowiczia chinensis as an active ingredient for preventing or treating an infectious and inflammatory disease. The composition of the present invention has sterilizing effect and in addition, an effect of inhibiting generation of pro-inflammatory cytokines and suppressing apoptosis of white blood cells. Therefore, the composition can be significantly used for treatment of the infectious and inflammatory disease like septicemia.</p> |
