An RF therapeutic device of the present invention comprises an RF oscillating unit, a handpiece connected to the RF oscillator unit and touching the body of a patient to deliver an RF; an RF output adjusting unit adjusting an output of the RF output unit such that the RF oscillating unit outputs a measuring RF or a therapeutic RF selectively; a receiving unit receiving a signal transmitted from the handpiece after the therapeutic RF is outputted; and a control unit controlling an operation of the RF output adjusting unit according to the signal received by the receiving unit. According to the RF therapeutic device and a control method of the RF therapeutic device, it is possible to determine whether the handpiece of the RF therapeutic device is in contact with the body of the patient by applying a micro RF to the body of the patient, measure body impedance of the patient by using the measuring RF, and apply the therapeutic RF adjusted to have a strength effective to the patient. Thus, therapeutic effectiveness and stability of the therapeutic RF device can be improved.
