PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual capacity measuring method capable of measuring an open-circuit voltage (OCV) with high accuracy when SOC is estimated using the open-circuit voltage (OCV) to thereby improve estimation accuracy of the SOC.SOLUTION: A secondary battery device has a control unit for performing charging and discharging to a secondary battery. The control unit includes: a certain period determination unit setting a certain period to be different depending on at least one of a temperature, and a charge current value or a discharge current value at a stop point when an open-circuit voltage is measured at a terminal point after a certain period from the stop point of charging or discharging of the secondary battery; and a residual capacity correction unit acquiring residual capacity using the open-circuit voltage at the terminal point.
