Further, the mobile station (400) is configured to send a confirmation response indicating a reception status of the broadcast message to the radio communication network (10) while remaining in the standby state without changing to a communication state (e.g., RRC_CONNECTED state or CELL_DCH state) in which user data can be transmitted and received. As a result, it is possible to enable the mobile station (400) to efficiently send a confirmation response in response to a broadcast message while reducing the increase in the load on the radio communication network (10).
