<p>Disclosed are a online hybrid special protection system and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the online hybrid special protection system comprises: a malfunction sensing module for sensing a malfunction in case of disturbance in an electric power system; an off-line based cutoff control module for operating a cutoff control command of a generator based on a transient stability analysis result using offline system data when a malfunction is detected by the malfunction sensing module; an online based cutoff control module for operating a generator cutoff control command after evaluating online based transient stability using data on phasor measurement units (PMU) and for receiving the result of malfunction detection by the malfunction sensing module; and a generator cutoff control operating module for operating a generator cutoff control command from either or both the offline based cutoff control module or/and online based cutoff control module.</p> |
