<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique by which, air bubbles or the like which do not accompany liquid discharged from a nozzle and remain in the nozzle can be effectively removed from the liquid.SOLUTION: A liquid discharge device includes a discharge head that discharges liquid from a nozzle in discharge direction, a negative pressure application section that applies negative pressure to the inside of the nozzle to suck the liquid from the nozzle in sucking direction opposite to the discharge direction, and a removal section that removes air bubbles or foreign matter from the liquid sucked from the nozzle by the negative pressure application section.</p> |
