<p>The present technology relates to a data processing device, a data processing method, and a program, whereby it is possible to derive a time error with high precision. A time difference of interest which draws attention among a series of time differences between a master time and a slave time, which is derived with the master time which is included in a message which is transmitted from a master device and the slave time which a time output unit outputs, is leveled by employing peripheral time differences including this time difference of interest, and a leveled time difference is derived. When a delay time with respect to the time difference of interest among a series of delay times in communication with the master device which is derived employing the master time and the slave time reaches either a minimum or a maximum among the delay times with respect to the time differences which are employed in the leveling of the time difference of interest, a correction quantity which corrects the leveled time difference is derived by employing the time difference of interest, and the leveled time difference is corrected employing the correction quantity. The present technology may be applied, as an example, to synchronizing a slave time with a master time.</p> |
