PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote-controlled drain plug system with a release wire running through a tube, in which the release wire is easily inserted through the tube and is pulled out of the drain hole without damage to it. SOLUTION: A remote-controlled drain plug system comprises: a drain plug 1; a valve member 3; an operation part 4; a tube 5 of which one end is connected to the operation part 4 while the other end is connected to the drain plug 1; a release wire 6 that is inserted through the tube 5 from the operation part 4 to the inside of the drain plug 1; a shank part 8; a flexible part 8a that is a part of the shank part 8 made more flexible compared to the other parts of the shank part 8; a tip part 9 that is provided at one end of the shank part 8 and harder than the shank part 8; a fitting part 10 that is provided at the other end of the shank part 8 and fitted to the leading end of the release wire 6; and a guide part 7 that is pulled up into the drain hole 2 after being inserted through the tube 5 from the operation part 4 to the drain plug 1 with the fitting part 10 being fitted to the leading end of the release wire 6 during the installation time.
