A method of communicating in a home wireless system wherein the home wireless system comprises a plurality of peripheral wireless nodes (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) and at least one gateway (12; 12'; 32) having wireless radio communication means for communicating with and for controlling peripheral wireless nodes in a time division multiplexing arrangement. Radio signals from said wireless nodes (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) are received in a first antenna (13) and at least in a second antenna (15) of said at least one gateway (12; 12'; 32). On the basis of a signal quality factor a device specific time slot and one of said antennas is assigned for future communication. A radio setting signal comprising time slot data is transmitted to said wireless nodes (14; 16; 19; 21; 23). The wireless nodes enter a radio sleep mode and then repeatedly switches mode from said radio sleep mode to a listening mode at each assigned time slot. The gateway (12; 12'; 32) comprises a first antenna (13), at least a second antenna (15) and a central unit (44). Said first antenna (13) and said at least one second antenna (15) are operatively connected to a radio communication means (40) comprising a radio signal quality measuring device (50). Said wireless nodes (14; 16; 19; 21; 23) comprise a wireless communication element (82), a memory means (83) for storing said time slot data and a processing unit (85) repeatedly activating at least said wireless communication element (82). |
