ORGANIC LIGHT EMITTING DIODE DISPLAY AND METHOD FOR DRIVING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An organic light emitting diode display device and a driving method thereof are provided to prevent a threshold voltage of a driving switching element from leaning to one polarity by supplying a gate low voltage of a scan line to a gate electrode of the driving switching element by a discharge transistor for a preset period. CONSTITUTION: A pixel circuit outputs a driving current using a first driving power and a second driving power. A light emitting device emits the light by a driving current from a pixel circuit. A switching transistor(Tr_S) is turned on and off according to a scan signal from a scan line and connects a data line with a first node(N1) when being turned on. A control transistor(Tr_C) is turned on and off according to a control signal from a control line and connects a second node(N2) with a third node(N3) when being turned on. A driving transistor(Tr_D) is turned on and off according to the potential of the second node and connects the third node and a second driving power line when being turned on. A discharge transistor(Tr_dis) discharges the voltage of the second node by connecting the scan line with the second node.
