The present invention relates to a method for providing a multimedia service. Especially, the present invention relates to a method of transmitting history information on a service which a service provider for providing communications convergence provides in a different net environment. According to the present invention, history information on a service which a service provider is provided by applying a preset format for providing service history information, thereby allowing a viewer to select desired broadcasting contents by using a receiver which uses the service history information.
