Method and apparatus for regulating the thickness profile of blow films

The method involves detecting the thickness profile of the film tube and comparing the detected actual profile with the predetermined reference profiles for generation of a control parameter for shaping the thickness profile of the film tube to be produced. A rolling profile detects the film thickness across the winding width and entirely across the length of the tube and when the piston rings develop on the sleeve a control grip is made, so that the reference thickness overlying across the film width is adapted. An independent claim is included for a device for controlling the film thickness profile of single or multi-layered tubular films.
