A method is disclosed for operating a gas powered vehicle, comprising operatively connecting one or more on-board vehicle tanks for the storage of fuel gas under high pressure to a high-pressure fuel gas refilling line, circulating refuel gas through said one or more on-board vehicle tanks in a refuelling circuit for absorbing the compression heat of refuelling, and removing the absorbed heat from said refuelling circuit wherein the refuel gas remaining in said refuelling circuit after refuelling is used to power the vehicle. Operation of the vehicle may also comprise heating the fuel gas stored in said one or more on-board vehicle tanks to increase tank pressure during fuel gas consumption. |
