An electrolytic copper foil is provided. The electrolytic copper foil has a shiny surface and a mat surface facing the shiny surface. A roughness difference between the shiny surface and the mat surface is 0.5 micrometer or less. The electrolytic copper foil has tensile strength of 45 kg/mm^2 or more and is applied to a lithium ion secondary battery.
