Disclosed are an image display device and a controlling method thereof. The embodiments of the present invention include a display part for touch input; a sensing part which senses the touch input applied to the display part; and a control part which controls the display part to display a touch input window having a preset transparency while the display state of an object outputted from the display part is maintained, if the display of the touch input window is required. The control part outputs one region of the display part when a first touch input is sensed on a region outputted from the touch input window, controls the input of a corresponding control command by pointing a point to a specific object, and controls the application of a function corresponding to a second touch input to the object when the second touch input is sensed on an object displayed on a region away from the touch input window. |
