The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for adjusting a handwritten character and, more particularly, to a method and an apparatus for adjusting a handwritten character that enhances the readability of a handwritten character. The method for adjusting the handwritten character according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of obtaining data on one or more input handwritten characters; analyzing the data on the one or more handwritten characters; adjusting the location or handwriting direction of each of one or more handwritten characters based on analysis; and displaying one or more adjusted handwritten characters. The present invention has effects of expressing a natural feeling in a handwritten input mode and enhancing the readability of a handwritten character, according to a handwritten style or by regulating the height or space between handwritten characters that may occur with the use of a portable device. |
