PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten processing time when aligning paper money in irregular front and back states. SOLUTION: For paper money delivered from a temporary holding part, whether it is turn paper money requiring front and back inversion by a turn part or is through paper money without the need of the front and back inversion is determined in an inversion necessity determination part 11, and whether or not the paper money delivered in advance is the turn paper money is determined in an already delivered paper money determination part 12. In a delivery interval adjustment part 13, when it is determined by the already delivered paper money determination part 12 that it is a delivery pattern in which the paper money delivered in advance is the turn paper money and the paper money to be delivered next is the through paper money, a delivery interval before the start of delivering the paper money to be delivered next is adjusted to be longer than the delivery interval for the time of the other delivery patterns. In such a manner, by delaying the timing of delivering the paper money next only when there is the risk that the paper money to be delivered next collides with the paper money delivered in advance, front and back aligning processing is shortened.
