A difference creation unit (53) creates short-time exposure image data (Da1) and long-time exposure image data (Db2). A weighting/synthesizing unit (54) synthesizes the short-time exposure image data (Da1) and the long-time exposure image data (Db2) by using the synthesizing/weighting coefficient. A controller (11) evaluates the difference, and updates the pixel value conversion coefficient so that the difference becomes smaller.
