The present invention relates to a communications device. A method for operating a mobile terminal according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: searching for a home appliance which is not registered on a server; displaying an object indicating the searched unregistered home appliance on a screen; and transmitting product information on the unregistered home appliance when the registration of the unregistered home appliance is inputted. As a result, the product registration of the home appliance can be easily performed.
