Hydrocarbons boiling in the gasoline range are obtained by contacting hydrogen and carbon monoxide with the iron-containing catalyst disclosed in Specification 730,487, in the manner disclosed therein but at a rate of 200-1000, preferably 200-750 volumes of gas per volume of catalyst per hour.ALSO:The Specification describes in substantially identical terms the preparation of the catalyst disclosed in Specification 730,487.
