The present invention discloses an apparatus and a method for editing captions, and a storage medium. The apparatus for editing captions according to the present invention is an apparatus for editing moving images and captions and includes: a display unit to display a moving image display region for displaying at least one moving image preview screen and a clip display region for displaying at least one moving image clip corresponding to the displayed preview screen; and a controller to control the apparatus to enter an edition mode with respect to a moving image clip corresponding to a sensed user gesture when a user gesture with respect to a moving image clip displayed on the clip display region is sensed. The controller may edit a caption from the moving image clip according to the sensed user gesture when the user gesture with respect to at least one moving clip is sensed in the edition mode.
