A safety device for an electrical plug 4 comprises a first part 2 and a second part 3. The two parts are translatable and rotatable with respect to one another, for example having complementary screw threads but with a spring bias, and are lockable together to define an enclosure between them which can house the contacts of the plug and so prevent its use. The device may include a sleeve 13 for the contacts, and may be watertight. The first part may be integral with the plug, see Fig 1, while the second part may comprise a securing member 14 and a cover 9. |
