PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of power consumption in an apparatus for performing communication in multiple systems.SOLUTION: A mobile communication apparatus includes: main processing means including control means and main communication means; and sub-processing means including sub-communication means. The control means allows the main communication means to perform a cell search for first-class radio communication when the apparatus is out of the service zone of the first-class radio communication, allows the main communication means to perform intermittent reception of the first-class radio communication when the apparatus is within the service zone of the first-class radio communication, stops the operation of the sub-processing means so as to allow the main communication means to perform a cell search for second-class radio communication when the apparatus is out of the service zone of the second-class radio communication, activates the operation of the sub-processing means so as to allow the sub-processing means to perform intermittent reception of the second-class radio communication when the apparatus is within the service zone of the second-class radio communication, and allows the sub-communication means to perform the second-class radio communication when a reception signal of the second-class radio communication is received by the sub-communication means and also when a prescribed input is given from input means. |
