Disclosed are soft capsules having been widely used in "drugs", "foods for specific health uses", "so-called health foods" and foods which have soft and excellent mastication properties and a high meltability in the oral cavity, impart a mild and full-bodied taste to a gelatin film coating, show an excellent ability to regulate the stickiness of the capsule film coating to thereby prevent sticking of the capsules to each other or to a container, and further inhibit an increase in the moisture content of the gelatin film coating even under highly humid conditions and so on. Soft capsules to be masticated characterized in that a gelatin film coating for the soft capsules to be masticated is formed by blending a powdery fat with gelatin, a plasticizer and water. |
