The present invention relates to a compound capable of providing beneficial effects such as damage repairing and damage preventing, strengthening, water repellent, moisture maintaining, and elasticity and flexibility, etc. by forming a strong covalent bond with a specific residue of a hair, a skin, or a fiber; or a composition containing the same. According to the present invention, the compound or the composition is characterized by using a composition having a functional group by substituting an active part capable of covalent bonding with a residue of a hair, a skin, or a fiber such as thiol, hydroxyl, carboxyl, amine, etc. for polypropylene glycol and/or the terminal end of a polypropylene glycol part existing in natural or synthetic saturated, unsaturated, and branched alkoxylated alcohol, alkoxylated carboxylic acid, alkoxylated (di)amine, or alkoxylated amide compound with two or greater of carbon number of an alkyl part having hydrophobic properties. According to the present invention, the compound or the composition is capable of maintaining moderate moisture in a hair, a skin, and a fiber, etc. by forming the outermost hydrophobic layer; and semi-permanently maintaining the effects. |
