The present invention relates to an X-ray imaging apparatus having an improved structure capable of reducing noise generated when an X-ray generator is fixed. According to an aspect of the present invention, provided is an X-ray imaging apparatus including: an X-ray generator to generate X-rays and to radiate the X-rays; an X-ray detector to detect the X-ray radiated from the X-ray generator; a moving carriage coupled with an end portion of the X-ray generator in order to adjust the position of the X-ray generator; a guide rail to move the moving carriage in order to move the position of the X-ray generator; and a fixing unit located at the inner side of the moving carriage to fix the position of the X-ray generator. The fixing unit comprises a contact pad coming into contact with the guide rail to fix the moving carriage; a magnetic member to move the contact pad using a magnetic force; and a fixing plate which is coupled with the contact pad, is moved according to the operation of the magnetic member, and includes a buffer material capable of adsorbing the noise or vibration. According to an aspect of the present invention, the present invention may reduce the noise due to the contact of the contact pad and the guide and may reduce the noise and vibration due to the contact of a fixing plate and the magnetic member.
